About our Pricing Model
Generous donors have built Pattern Platform. They believe in its ability to accelerate gospel sharing and disciple making. Their continued giving allows us to keep improving the Platform and to keep prices as low as possible for those who would like to launch an app. Because of these gracious donors, the prices listed below are considerably below Pattern’s actual expenses for launching an app.
The price for launching an app is divided into a setup fee and a monthly service fee.
We know that the setup fee may be a barrier to some. To assist you, Pattern offers three payment plans to defer the setup cost of your app and, instead, add it into the monthly fees.

App Packages: Premium vs Basic
Pattern offers apps and features in two different packages and there are three different payment options for each package (see payment option section). The two packages vary in which versions of your app are available and where they are listed.
Basic Package: Website Version, Normal Android App, Secure Android App
Premium: Includes everything in the Basic Package, plus versions of your app listed in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store

App Payment Info
- The actual set up fee for each app is $5,000. Each app also has corresponding monthly service fees. Option 3 reflects the actual costs. Options 1 and 2 have a reduced setup fee, with monthly fees that reflect both the balance of setup fees and recurring monthly service fees.
- After 36 months, monthly payments for Options 1 and 2 are reduced to just the monthly service fees. (Currently reflected in Option 3 at $65/$35.)
- Monthly payments for all options begin when your app is launched, or after 6 months, whichever is earlier.
- Monthly payment fees increase with inflation every year. This is currently estimated to be $5/month. For example, Option 3 increased from $60 in 2024 to $65 in 2025.

When calculating costs to build your app, it’s helpful to note you may have additional, optional costs not included in Pattern’s fees:
Scripture Copyright
A few Bible Societies around the world require payment for use of their Scripture version inside an app. Pattern splits the actual cost of this between all apps using that translation/version. Most of these paid agreements are for 2 or 3 year terms and vary in price.
Audio & Graphic Assistance
Some choose to hire others to help with creating media elements for their specific app. While Pattern has a variety of stock icons to choose from, you (or your team) do need to create your own app logo and any audio recordings you would like.
